Hidden UI-elements

Property-status: Variable

A property status can be set to "Var." This creates a variable that contains the value of the property so that it can be referenced in other expressions.

Raw property values

Several properties are displayed in a special – more user-friendly – way. For example, the property "Font Family" is displayed as a drop-down menu from which you can easily select one of many fonts. However, if you want to write an expression for this property, you need to switch to the "Raw Value" display mode.

Input-fields view: Create free input field

In some advanced cases, you may need to create a new input field that is not directly connected to a particular property. An example of when this might be useful is when you want the input field to control a property in a non-linear way. Then you would need to use the input field's variable in an expression instead of connecting it directly.

Input-fields view: Variables tab

On the "Variables" tab of the "Input Fields" view, you can manage, edit or delete existing variables. Be careful when doing so. You could accidentally break your template if you delete the wrong variable.
