How to add a grid

You can toggle the visibility of the grid by clicking the grid button in the toolbar.

You can add grid lines by clicking anywhere on the horizontal or vertical ruler. Double-clicking on a grid line (with the cursor over the ruler) opens a popover menu in which you can define the exact position of the line.
