Advanced Mode vs Easy Mode
Table of content:
- Property-status: Variable,
- Raw property panel,
- Input-Fields view: Add Field,
- Advanced input field parameters

Easy Mode is enabled by default. In Easy Mode, various elements of the user-interface are hidden to streamline your experience. You can click on the toggle to switch to Advanced Mode.
Property-status: Variable
A property status can be set to "Var." This creates a variable that contains the value of the property so that it can be referenced in other expressions.
Raw property panel
Several properties are displayed in a special – more user-friendly – way. For example, the property "Font Family" is displayed as a drop-down menu from which you can easily select one of many fonts. However, if you want to write an expression for this property, you need to switch to the "Raw Value" display mode.
Input-Fields view: Add Field
It is possible to create input fields that are not immediately connected to any property. This is useful if you want an input field to control a property in a non-linear fashion, i.e. with the output value of the input field being an argument in an expression, which controls the property.
To do this you can create an unconnected input field in the Input-Fields view.
Advanced input field parameters
Some field parameters are only visible in Advanced Mode. This includes, for example, the option to de-synchronize the preview value from the actual value of an option in a Selection field.
